WHO WE ARE

The USD 113 Foundation is a charitable organization in Northeast Kansas which seeks to serve and support the USD 113 school district and its students. In service of our mission we help community members receive and distribute charitable funds for specific projects within the school district, like school improvements and scholarships, administer short-term funds like memorials, and maintain and administer permanent endowment funds.
Our 501(c)3 organization currently manages over one million dollars in assets. We are committed to the highest standards, and strive to respect the wishes of each donor within the guidelines allowed by law. The Foundation serves all schools in USD #113, and is governed by a 11 member Board of Directors representing all geographic areas of the district.

We're community members, too! USD 113 Foundation serves all schools in USD #113, and is governed by a 11-member Board of Directors representing all geographic areas of the district.
We help establish endowments! For those wishing to create a recurring gift that continues in the future, a larger initial contribution can be made to create an endowment. The earnings each year are then awarded to your intended purpose. For example, to support a $1,000 perpetual scholarship, a $25,000 endowment gift is recommended.
Shopping your local businesses helps our cause (and our community)! Local business owners are just as passionate about your community as you are and are much more likely to share the wealth (that you help create) to directly benefit your community.
We are giving! In recent years, USD 113 Foundation has been facilitating at least 40 scholarships per year amounting to over $30,000 annually. The foundation was started in 1994 and has broadened its geographic scope as the district has evolved, while maintaining the original wishes of previous donors.
